Self-Identity
I have chosen to pursue the Self-Idenity project for my Exam. For the first photoshoots within the Self-Identity project, I have decided to start taking images down the route of Fashion and Make-Up to express Self-Identity. I will then progress to a documentary-esque self-identity project and take images based around products that are and/or have been a part of my life and that helped me identify myself.
First Shoot
The first photoshoots will be based around the use of Make-Up to express Gender Identity within young teenagers in a 21st century society. The makeup will be glamorous in some shots and also very odd and will be linked to fine art as much as possible in others - Almost as if to create characters on the model's face.
Second Shoot
For the second shoot I am planning to create a still life image that features items in my life that I have used, use currently or that hold sentimental value. By laying out all of the items that have relevance to me and my life, the audience and I will gain a better understanding of what type of person I am and will then be able to identify who I am as a person overall.
Third Shoot
The Third shoot will be a fahion shoot, similar to the first but instead of only featuring my male persona, I will also feature a female persona. I will also incorporate clothing into this photoshoot which will further help the audience and I identify what type of people my personas are.
Forth Shoot
For this photoshoot I will be re-creating a image created by Photographer Mathu Andersen. The image features 9 different characters that have been placed in a 3x3 grid. All characters are differentiated by the use of props, facial expression and body language. I will use characters that mean something to me in my recreation of the image.
Fifth Shoot
The fifth shoot will be an unknown identity photoshoot. The images will feature me ad a couple of other people but our faces will be blurred out due to us moving as the image is being taken. This will hide our facial identities but keep our clothing identities visible.
